In this episode, AJ and Delaney explore some of the most fascinating and often overlooked connections woven throughout Scripture. From Abraham and Isaac to Joseph’s story, the symbolism of thorns, the meaning behind the number seven, and the parallels between Adam and Jesus, they unpack how these moments may point to a deeper, unified message across the Bible. While not all of these are explicit doctrines, each invites us to think more deeply about the design, consistency, and purpose behind Scripture—and to ask whether these connections are coincidence or something more.

In this episode of Soul Lab, AJ and Delaney sit down with Amber Lia—author, public speaker, and highly successful faith-driven fitness and nutrition coach —to explore what it truly means to honor God through caring for our bodies.
Together, they unpack the biblical foundation for health as stewardship, the logical and scientific connections between physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, and practical, grace-filled steps anyone can take to live healthier with purpose. Amber draws from her extensive experience writing, coaching, and speaking to challenge the idea that health is all about appearance or perfection, instead reframing it as gratitude, discipline, and freedom.
From Scripture to science, this conversation invites listeners to see health as an act of worship—and a way to better serve God, others, and the calling placed on their lives.

“Come let us reason together”- Isaiah 1:18
AJ and Delaney, a married couple living in Chattanooga, TN, have always been passionate about discussing deep thought-provoking ideas in an effort to learn more, grow in their faith, and expand their worldview.
AJ is an entrepreneur owning businesses in several industries to include real estate, education, restaurants, and more. He is also involved with various nonprofits globally and enjoys being a part of their mission. By utilizing his assets AJ aspires to leave a lasting positive impact on this world. One of these nonprofits led AJ to meet his partner and podcast cohost, Delaney. Delaney is a licensed school counselor and pre-licensed professional counselor with a strong sense of duty to serve others. She helps her clients overcome mental and emotional traumas, resolve relationship issues, and learn to better navigate life’s challenges. Though this platform does not represent her professional opinion, she often brings the mental health side of the discussion to the table.
Throughout their relationship, AJ and Delaney often found themselves engaged in deep conversation, sometimes agreeing and sometimes disagreeing, about various theological topics. They both concur on fully researching a subject as to have a sound understanding of it and so they would use every resource at hand to form an opinion. Feeling as though their discussions could potentially benefit others they one day commented, “Maybe we should just start a podcast?”, and thus Soul Lab was born. Join Delaney and AJ as they exchange their perspective on air in order to grow in their faith and expand their minds.
